Adesso sono su Ubuntu quindi dovrei riavviare il pc per entrare su arch... prima di postarti il log dovrei rifare tutti i procedimenti fatti fino ad ora o sono come dire in "memoria"?

10 a 1 che è il driver Nvidia che rompe i maroni. Proviamo modificando le impostazioni staticamente: cancella quello che c'è dentro al file 20-monitor.conf e mettici questo

Spiacente, ma rinuncio a capire come ragioni questo driver proprietario. Se non hai necessità di gaming, ti consiglio di dare una chance agli open.

prova gli open, xrandr e nvidia proprietari non vanno d'accordo e ci vuole una opzione per abilitarlo, inoltre mi pare che anche se abilitato non tutte le opzioni sono compatibili se non erro. vai di nouveau che non dovresti avere problemi.

Ok adesso proverò gli open. Comunque ho visto sul wiki che posso provare i nouveau senza disinstallare i NVIDIA proprietari. Ma se volessi proprio disinstallarli mi basta un "pacman -R nvidia nvidia-utils" e le dipendenza vengono tutte via oppure devo fare altro?

EDIT: scusate, per la fretta ho chiesto troppo presto come rimuovere i NVIDIA proprietari ma ho trovato da solo, sempre sul wiki. :)

Bene ho installato gli open ed è andato tutto bene. Ora ho un altro problema cioè quello di trovare il nome dell'uscita video. Mi è stato scritto di usare l'uscita "default" ma utilizzando quella ho questo errore:

Dovrebbe andar bene, perchè quelle sono caratteristiche proprie del monitor, ma se vuoi puoi anche non metterlo, o verificare sul manuale, o su internet tramite il modello.
