Xorg.log non presenta errori. Non è che vedi il puntatore solo, quello di openbox. Se clicchi di destro succede qualcosa ?

No, nulla, né puntatore, né menù col tasto destro; prima di installare lxde, con startx si aprivano le tre finestre classiche, ora, dopo l'invio, buio e nulla più; neppure alt + Rsys + REISUB sortisce effetto.

Se rimani in console, o passi con CTRL+ALT+Fn, prova vedere che processi sono attivi con top.

Pare che xorg non sia avviato, Oppure non hai dato startx prima del top. Posta xorg.0.log.old
Hai installato xf86-video-vesa ?
Magari installa tutto il gruppo xorg-drivers.

Si, era top prima di startx... comunque avevo già tutto installato; ho provato a togliere lxde e mettere xfce con slim e fino al login grafico ora ci arrivo, ma dopo l'autenticazione, mi ripropone un ulteriore pagina di login al termine del quale torna in console tty1;
provando startx da root mi ritorna un FATAL modprobe modulo mancante..ora non ricordo il nome..

Se lo avvii da SSH, dovrebbe esserci problemi con il riconoscimento del monitor.

Si, lo so, infatti lo avvio direttamente..
Un sincero grazie lo stesso; proverò sul forum di rasp.. è che il mio inglese... più che altro mi girano le palle abbandonare arch per raspbian

installa xf86-video-fbturbo-git se non lo hai già fatto. Poi, se vuoi avere l'accelerazione grafica h264 puoi installare ffmpeg-git --enable-mmal e altre due opzioni specifiche del rpi, serve per guardare i film senza consumare cpu e usare l'accelerazione hardware.
In alternatvia puoi usa VC4 di Anholt è un po' meno reattiva dell'accelerazione omx rpi ma è comunque meglio di come arrivano mpv o vlc di "base"
